Listverse's Tips For Meeting Aliens!!!!

So, Listverse has published a list of things to do should you ever encounter aliens from another planet.

I have to say, it's a pretty good one!

It takes into account a lot of things--the fact that we shouldn't touch the aliens lest we come into contact with unknown bacteria, we should avoid using gestures and signals that we take for granted because they are not only from a different culture but from a different planet, that the aliens might have totally different senses than ours, etc. It even points out that the aliens might not immediately realize that humans are sentient.

It's just really interesting, just in terms of the concept, and the fact that the author of this list seems to have thought of everything. And of course it's a great deal more realistic than most ideas of what would happen if we ever made contact with aliens. Give it a read!
